A total hysterectomy means that the uterus and cervix (the piece of the uterus that stabilizes the uterus by attaching to large ligaments in the pelvis and extends into the vagina) are removed.

A Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy is similar to a Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy, but it involves removing the uterus and cervix.
